Job Summary:

The Truck Driver should be well-organized and transport stone, blacktop and equipment in a safe and responsible manner. This position will require the driver to be able to operate numerous types of vehicles and equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Protect family and friends. Operate equipment safely and efficiently while wearing proper PPE. Be part of a Safety Culture that fosters openness, innovation, idea sharing, and actions to improve while maintaining a thorough knowledge of, and commitment to, industry best practices and leading safety programs.
  
  
• Efficiency. Perform routine and preventative maintenance to equipment and deliver stone and asphalt to job locations in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

• Class A valid driver’s License with air brake endorsement.
• 2 years’ experience, preferred.
• Tanker endorsement, preferred.
• Proficient verbal and written English
• Legal right to work in the U.S.

Travel:

Position may require up to 10% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of Massachusetts, and Connecticut based on the needs of the business. The rest of an operator’s time is in the vehicle traveling or on-site performing work.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 50 lb. or more. This position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment. Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time as well as lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
