Job Summary

THIS IS A TRAVELING JOB!! HOME BASE IN IN JOHNSTOWN AND YOU WILL GO TO NEBRASKA AND BACK. PER DIEM IS PAID

Operates heavy & light construction equipment, including backhoes, cable plow, Mini-Ex, Horizontal Directional Drill (HDD) & other types of machinery & assures maintenance of these as required.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Traffic Control set up & tear down
• Ability to drive trucks & equipment to job sites
• Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
• Maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines.
• Directly responsible for all personal actions and any personnel, vehicles or equipment in the care, custody, or control.
• Report any personal or vehicle/equipment accidents/incidents immediately to supervisors, corporate and assist in the investigation of same.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• 2 years of experience in utility construction preferred
• Possess general knowledge of construction practices.
• Knowledge of reading and understanding blueprints a plus.
• Willing to work outdoors in all types of weather (i.e., snow, rain, wind, etc.) and work overtime as required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Possess a valid CDL (A) license or be able to attain one.
• Will be required to complete OSHA 10-hour course provided by MasTec.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
