Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

FocusPoint has Travel PICU Assignments in multiple locations.

We are currently seeking an experienced team of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurses. The ideal candidates should have recent travel experience and intensive care experience.

Estimated Overall Assignment Amount: $20,124 to $31,824+ | plus per diem & housing

Estimated overall Weekly Amount: $1,548 to $2,448+ | plus per diem & housing

The estimated above totals are based on a 13-week assignment and working the listed number of hours per week in addition to available stipend amounts; eligibility may vary subject to company policy and applicable law. Please contact us for full details.

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Requirements:

  • Active RN License as may be required
  • RN degree from an accredited registered nurse program
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA PALs Required
  • 6+ months of NICU nursing preferred (Varies by assignment)

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Wage Benefits:

  • $43/hr to $68/hr
  • $64.50/hr to $102/hr OT
  • Estimated weekly (36 hours): $1,548 to $2,448+ (plus per diem & housing)

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Provide age-appropriate care to children admitted in pediatric ICU
  • Obtain patients’ histories and ensure that they are filed properly
  • Consult with doctors and members of healthcare teams to comprehend patients’ medical issues and evaluate and implement care plans
  • Monitor patients’ vitals such as blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing and initiative corrective action on an immediate basis
  • Follow cardiac and respiratory monitor readings such as EKG and O2 stats and communicate observations to doctors on duty
  • Track urine output and insert catheters and start IVs
  • Administer infusions and monitor special equipment such as ventilators to assess patients’ conditions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43.00 - $68.00 per hour
