Job description

The Trapper position duties are at the Club manager's discretion. Safety is #1 priority! Individual must be self-motivated and social. Proper dress/attire must be worn at all times while working. That is, must have closed toe shoes / no sandals; warm clothes in winter.

Trapper Job Duties:

• Open Sporting Clays and Skeet courses. During winter, clear snow and ice from shooting stations/pads with shovel. Open and load Trap field and 5-Stand field, when necessary. During winter, clean snow and ice from all stations. Coordinate with Manager.
• Fill Skeet, Sporting Clays and Trap houses with targets as necessary. Use 4-Wheeler and trailer when loading machines. Keep Skeet houses clean of empty boxes and broken clays. Fill upstairs and downstairs clays storage in Skeet houses.
• Empty all trash barrels on Skeet, Sporting Clays and Trap fields.
• Trim around Sporting Clays stands, as needed.
• End of day: Shut down Skeet, Sporting Clays, Trap and 5-Stand fields. Wind up release cables and store in houses/remote enclosures, if necessary. Release cocking arm, turn off and unplug machines. If needed, load targets in machines. Properly cover machines. Pick up empty hulls on fields. Turn off Skeet, Trap and 5-Stand lights. Close and secure Skeet, Sporting Clays, Trap and 5-Stand fields. Report all mechanical and other problems to manager.
• Burn all empty boxes and cardboard when needed.
• Sweep out pole barn. Park all vehicles out of the way of other vehicles. Close and secure pole barn doors.
• When requested, pull for Skeet shooters; pull for Trap shooters; pull 5-Stand machine for shooters.
