Dupre’ Logistics is currently seeking an Operations Supervisor for our operation in the Bedford Park, IL area to support our Dedicated business unit.

Job Description

The Operations Supervisor position is an career path forward position for the purpose of training an employee to become an Operations Manager. The Operations Supervisor works in a fast paced environment and is based at the hub of activity in our business unit. The Operations Supervisor will assist in developing personnel and achieving financial targets for the assigned location. Our Operations Supervisor works with a team which requires relationship development with drivers, support staff, management, and customers. The Operations Supervisor will assist the Operations Manager in managing the total expenses and profit and loss statements, while maintaining budget standards.

Key Duties

· Monitor safety performance

· Build & maintain customer relationships

· Manage site manpower

· Conduct employee coaching and On the Job Training (OJT)

· Review and update current work processes

· Manage financial performance

Job Qualifications

· 1-2 years of supervisor/Fleet Management experience with CDL-A Drivers is required.
Hazmat experience is helpful.

· Logistics/Transportation Management experience with a proven track record is preferred

· Must have a strong customer service orientation with an operational or industrial background

· 2 years of university course work in Logistics, Management, or a related business field is preferred

· Must have a working knowledge of DOT regulations

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel

· Experience with Transportation Software (TMW) and AS400 is preferred

· Must have a high level of self motivation, competitive spirit, and availability as customer demands dictate
