JOB SUMMARY

Performs skilled carpentry work, at the journeyman level, involving both rough and finished carpentry.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Repairs and maintains doors, floors, restrooms, windows, partitions, roofs and small parts of buildings and/or docks.

Performs general rough and finish carpentry construction, alteration, and maintenance work on wooden structures, buildings, scaffolding, forms, fences, signs, furniture, and other fixtures such as barricades; does sheeting and rough carpentry on sheds and other buildings.

Operates power saws and other standard carpentry and cabinet making tools to make and repair cabinets, counters, bookcases, desks, bulletin boards, moldings, tables, chairs, benches and other wooden articles.

Performs hand and bench work in carpenter shop and operates planers, joiners, and other woodworking machinery.

Ensures completion of assigned work orders.

Maintains and repairs carpentry equipment and tools.

Performs various painting and restoration tasks as needed.

Perform light electrical work (switches, light changes, and outlets).

Perform light A/C, ice machine and drinking fountain work (diagnostic, filter maintenance).

Replaces and/or maintains street markings for pedestrian crossings and intersection stop bars; paints street cu

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Pay: From $17.36 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Journeyman carpenter: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• FL Driver's License (Required)
