Job description
Title Searcher searches public and private records to collect a chain of legal documents pertaining to the property over time such as deeds and mortgages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Review copies of records such as Warranty Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Liens, Judgments and Easements found at the County Records.
- Be able to read plat and map books.
- Be able to read a legal description and determine from deeds found in the County records if it contains the property that is being searched.
- Prepare title commitments based on the information that was obtained.
- Prepare deeds, affidavits and other documents that are needed to execute clear title based upon the information that obtained.
- Answer inquiries concerning title by e-mail, telephone or personal discussion
- Perform other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job effectively, an individual must be able to complete each necessary responsibility satisfactorily. Must be highly motivated, self-starter and able to work in a fast pace environment and meet quick deadlines, but requires EXTREME attention to detail and ability to problem solve. Must be proficient in technology with the ability to learn computer programs used in the trade. Must be able to work in a high stress environment and work well with others as a team and meet company goals and deadlines.

Title Agent’s license if not already earned, must be able to obtain in a timely matter.
REQUIREMENTS
Related title insurance industry or legal experience. Resumes must list 3 references (job references and personal references of non-relation). Please include contact information for all references. Please include on your resume past work and school experience.
Pay will depend on experience.
