Job Description


Operate manual TIG Welder on aerospace parts. Weld and visually inspect parts per instruction of the traveler. Use other Welding machines and/or equipment as required.

  • Perform welding activities, following written instructions independently.
  • Perform the weld by manual TIG.
  • Prepare parts for welding by grinding, machining, and belt sanding.
  • Documenting travelers after operations performed.
  • General department housekeeping.
  • Maintain production standards/quality.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards.
  • Ensures compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment, as required.
  • Performing other tasks in the facility, as needed.

Qualifications
  • Ability to perform qualification welds on 0.040” thick materials in accordance with AWS D17.1 for both fillet and groove welds
  • Ability to pass a Jaeger vision test
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to accurately interpret blueprints
  • Ability to accurately interpret work in-process documents
  • Knowledge of GTAW welding procedures and processes
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimal computer skills required
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to certify AWS D17.1, fillet and groove welds required
  • Ability to pass a reading test
