Part-time Positions Available for Customer Service Agents employed by Charter Express Inc. contracted to handle Frontier Airlines, Sun Country Airlines & Bahamas Air at the Raleigh Durham International Airport (RDU)

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and Social Security card
  • Must pass a 10-year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to complete required training
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Customer Service Agent

General Purpose of Job:

This position is responsible for providing total customer service to all passengers flying on Airlines' we service. The Ticket Counter/Gate Agents are charged with attention to Customer needs, politely handling their inquiries promptly, and completing the required transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processing Customers tickets, checking baggage, monitoring carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assigning seats
  • Providing information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements
  • Handling denied boarding situations, soliciting volunteers, accommodating Customers and providing hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate
  • Ensures FAA, Airline, and airport regulations are followed
  • Enforces safety/security measures and protects/monitors secured areas
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to read and write effectively in English
  • Must be available to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be well groomed and physically able to lift 50 lbs
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986
  • Able to attend required training (5 consecutive days) and possess a laptop computer for Virtual Training

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively at Ticket Counter positions, must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.

Other Requirements and Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience: No experience necessary, 5-day training required and paid with successful completion

Knowledge: Basic computer skills

Must be at least 18 years old. Must have a valid driver’s license

Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986

Attend and successfully complete required training (5 days)

Effectively speak,read and write in English
