What Will I Be Doing?

Pinnacle Family Services is looking for a Therapeutic Foster Care Behavioral Specialist that will recruit parents using our Fostering Solutions treatment model. Fostering Solutions is a trauma informed and relationship focused model specializing in treating traumatized children and youth. You will be required to provide direct care services, supervise consumers and provide therapeutic activities during crisis or disruption, provide behavioral redirection, and training.

Am I A Good Fit?

A Therapeutic Foster Care Behavior Specialist should have experience working with children and youth in a variety of settings, such as schools, residential treatment centers, or foster care. To determine if you are a good fit for this position, you should consider the following factors:

• Strong background in behavior analysis
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care
• Ability to work independently
• Cultural competence

Qualification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with children who have behavioral diagnoses and their families required
• Child Mental Health Qualified Professional required
• Foster parent recruitment and licensing experience preferred
• Access to reliable transportation adhering to all NC Division of Motor Vehicle laws (current vehicle registration, vehicle insurance, and driver’s license) required
