Description:
This position will lead the development of hardware and software technologies into our vehicles to enhance comfort, safety, and user experience towards creating a top-class infotainment platform.
Key Accountabilities:
Recognize and specify critical functional (hardware, software & communication) requirements for infotainment system components to match customer demands.
Direct selected suppliers to design and manage the component to maturation schedule requirements.
Confirm actual hands-on performance that may include developing unique requirements on system components and vehicle testing to guarantee product acceptance.
Support maturation testing to cover different configurations of components to ensure all variations work correctly.
Develop, write and issue specification requirements for system components.
Effectively communicate the development schedule and report status of component functions to different company areas/departments.
Analyze/interpret test results, predict performance/failure and provide required product/design data.
Write clear and concise reports, presentations and/or technical documents to make a record of the development activities, communicating directly with Technical Experts.
Research and influence the future path and trends of infotainment system architecture, features/functions, and efficient development methods.
Propose, develop and justify any new functions (hardware, software, HMI, etc.) to meet the market requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
- 4-yr degree of BSc in Electrical Engineering
- 1-3 YEARS OF RELATED EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR REQUIRED DEGREE
Key Performance Indicators:
- CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH SUPPLIER TO REPORT REQUIREMENTS, REMAIN AWARE OF DEVELOPMENT STATUS, AND ARRANGE SCHEDULING OF REPORTING CONTENT (EX: SYS VERIF, SOFTW GO, ETC)
- REPORT DEVELOPMENT CONTENT
- MEET DEVELOPMENT MILESTONES ON SCHEDULE
- INVESTIGATE/IDENTIFY PROBLEM ROOT CAUSE WITH SUPPLIER SUPPORT (IF NEEDED)
- ABLE TO TRACK MULTIPLE ACTIVITIES HAPPENING SIMULTANEOUSLY TO CLOSE OUT ITEMS ON SCHEDULE
- ABLE TO COMMUNICATE STATUS OF DEVELOPMENT CLEARLY AND SUCCINCTLY TO TE, CE, MGMT, TEAM

- Any potential communication to other entities as needed to gather requirements and share results
Decisions Expected:
- Arrange necessary communication with other entities & Suppliers to correlate customer viewpoint reflection
- Direction to supplier to develop specifications that can achieve first round review approval.
- Determine test results and plans satisfy requirements (incl. sound performance judgement, certifications)
Competencies:
- Candidate should have experience in project management (setting & managing schedules, meeting deadlines, directing other groups to achieve development goals, etc.).
- Proficient PC Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other technical software).
- Knowledge of MatLab or Labview would be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira, Bamboo and Stash) preferred. Training available
- Ability to use common electrical testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, ESD equipment, etc.) required
