Davidson is seeking Test Engineers in Ft. Greeley, Alaska

The qualified candidates will support the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program at Ft. Greely, Alaska. The GMD system provides the United States’ defense against long-range ballistic missile attacks.

Successful Candidates Will:

• Work in a team environment to perform test procedures with the highest degree of precision and quality.
• Perform work on an active missile defense complex; and will understand and follow all commensurate security and access procedures
• Support checkout and end-to-end testing of the GMD Ground Systems after hardware upgrade; as well as GMD Interceptor integration verification testing as required.
• Perform basic data analysis and initial troubleshooting in the event of test anomalies
• Demonstrate good judgment at all time, prioritizing safety of personnel and high-cost hardware
• Write and review test procedures

Requirements:

• BS degree in a STEM field with 0 years experience; or Associates degree in a STEM field with 5 years of demonstrated, applicable experience
• Basic knowledge of Redhat and Windows
• Ability to understand and follow documented processes and procedures, as well as maintain / review when updates are required.
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
• Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a multi-tasking environment within a team
• Ability to meet all security and access requirements for work on a Federal Army base
• Support travel as required. (Minimal travel expected to Huntsville, AL or Vandenburg Space Force Base (VSFB), CA.)

Desired Competencies/Experience/Certifications:

• GMD- or BMDS-related experience
• Test and data analysis experience, and familiarity with data analysis tools and methods (MATLAB, Python, Excel)
• Detail oriented and able to work independently with little or no supervision

Clearance Requirements:

Must possess a Secret Security Clearance.
