Lincoln Terminal is looking for a Terminal Operator for our new rail facility in Atlanta! This is a day shift opportunity working M-F 7a-4p.

Job Summary:
The Terminal Operator is responsible for offloading railcars via rail and shipping product receipts to surrounding terminal(s) via offload manifold, piping, and meter. Terminal operators will also be responsible for general terminal operations and terminal inspections/maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for railcar offloading operations.
- Responsible for climbing rail cars to perform valve alignment and/or hose connections as well as hose connections and valve alignment underneath rail cars.
- Responsible for ensuring safety devices are in place to offload railcars (blue flag, derail, wheel chocks, etc.)
- Responsible for railcar visual inspections.
- Responsible for proper valve alignment on offload manifold.
- Communicate with surrounding terminal(s) for each offload receipt.
- Responsible for terminal yard maintenance which includes light maintenance on offload manifold equipment and on the grounds/facility (upkeep of trash/debris that may interfere with operations).
- Responsible for knowing reporting notification order both internally and externally in the event of a product spill release.
- Must meet or exceed safety standards.
- Participation in terminal inspections/audits as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
Required:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 years of related experience required.
- Demonstrated work ethic and the ability to work safely with limited supervision.
- Effective communication skills.
- Familiarity with site Contingency/SPCC, NPDES and SWPP plans along with responsibilities and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with Federal Rail guidelines and reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with the use of small hand tools like pipe/spud wrenches.
- Must understand rail manifold piping and valve alignments.
Preferred:
- Technical Associates degree preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50-70lbs frequently.
- Ability to use/grasp/ small hand tools.
- Ability to climb on and under rail cars.
