PRIMARY FUNCTION

The position will work closely with production line leadership and line personnel to repair and resolve workmanship defects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The essential functions (i.e., key responsibilities with expected end results) which must be accomplished in order to fulfill the purpose of the position includes but is not limited to:

Repair and Troubleshooting (60%)

• Ensure all repair information is logged into relevant system.
• Perform work requiring an entry-level knowledge of electrical/electronic theories and principles and
• principles of operation of electronic equipment.
• Investigate reported internal quality issues that are found to be supplier, production or process related
• and communicates those findings in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follows current work instruction and ensures adherence to the Quality Control Plan and related SOP’s.
• Compares and reviews SOP’s and BOM’s to production work orders and raw materials during each line
• changeover.
• Maintains quality standards by inspecting and reporting defective incoming materials.
• Continuously evaluates manufacturing operations, suggests and implements improvements to achieve
• optimum line efficiencies utilizing support functions when necessary.
• Verifies incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual inspections, rejecting and
• reporting non-conforming materials to line leadership, quality, warehouse and logistics management.
• Operates, troubleshoots, repairs, and changes over product in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Leadership and Training (20%)

• Be an effective team member by demonstrating positive, effective and respectful communication between team leaders, utilities, and operators.
• Assist in training and development of new department employees.
• Follow site escalation practices for line stoppages or breakdowns.

Special Projects and Work Area Cleaning (20%)

• Complete special projects independently as assigned by management.
• Keeping the work area clean throughout the shift to ensure a safe and orderly work environment.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• The specialized knowledge or skill (e.g., technical, scientific, administrative, managerial) which the position requires includes:
• Excellent communication, motivation, interpersonal and relationship skills
• Knowledge of TV principles and troubleshooting
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• Understanding of electronics and electronic assemblies.

While performing the responsibilities of the job, the associate is required to talk and hear. The associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers, to handle or feel. Vision skills are required for this job which includes acute vision.
