Job Summary

Abt Associates seeks a Temporary International Accounting Coordinator. In this role, you will be exposed to a depth and breadth of expertise and knowledge through events and programs throughout the time working with International Accounting and Finance Reporting teams. This is a long-term temporary position beginning in May, anticipated to go through the end of the calendar year. This role is based in our Rockville, MD office, but is also open to remote candidates.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintains accurate financial records for GlobalPay wire transfer system. Ensuring approvals are included and balance sheet reports match with QuickBooks files.
• On a monthly basis, analyzes international projects financial information, and prepares working papers in support to the International Accounting Managers team on the Remote Office Voucher process.
• Responsible for a portfolio of international projects, performing cash reconciliations between project QuickBooks site offices with Oracle reports.
• May work in organizations with separate specialists performing some or all the budgeting, cost accounting, internal management and/or external financial reporting work.

What We Value:

• Ideal candidates will have academic or work experience in accounting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Good Knowledge of QuickBooks
• Advanced analytical skills to skillfully gather and present information to the team.
• Excellent time management skills
• A self-starter with the ability to show initiative, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Has excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma + Four years of relevant experience, or Associates Degree + Two years of relevant experience
