Position Summary:

TEMP-to PERM Position

This position serves as the key point of contact for all guests, residents, applicants and vendors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Note: Must be Fluent in English and Spanish.

MUST be COVID-19 VACCINATED AND Boosted

Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with a one hour unpaid lunch.

Position Summary:

The receptionist serves as the key point of contact for and provides exceptional customer service to all guests, residents, applicants, and vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Meets, greets, and assists applicants, residents and guests in a professional, courteous and friendly manner.
  • Answers a complex, multi-line telephone system and disseminates calls.
  • Accepts and date stamps applications, recertification documents and other applicable documents.
  • Point person with overseeing the use of the kiosk and assisting the public.
  • Makes copies as needed for residents and applicants.
  • Provides general program and application information to the public.
  • Tracks visitor activity.
  • Enters data into property management database software system.
  • Assists the Property Management with the admissions process.
  • Collects and distributes incoming mail accordingly.
  • Collects, stamps, and delivers outgoing mail and parcels/packages. This may require walking mail to drop box located at 26 Main Street, Stamford or designated location.
  • Arranges for pick up from courier services including UPS and FedEx.
  • Performs a variety of clerical functions in support of various departments.
  • Opens and closes office, monitors supplies and equipment
  • Monitors “info” email box and responds to inquiries
  • May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

  • Extensive ability to effectively communicate program requirements to participants and communicate effectively with applicant, resident, and owners.
  • Good typing and data entry skills.
  • Outstanding judgment, reasoning, and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Good knowledge of general office and administrative procedures.
  • Good knowledge of all office equipment, including a telephone, fax machine and copier.
  • Strong ability to prioritize.
  • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately.
  • Strong ability to work with minimal supervision.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements: Graduation from an accredited school with a High School Diploma. In addition, a minimum of one year experience in customer service and operating complex telephone systems. Fluent in English is mandatory, as well as fluent in Spanish is mandatory.
