***$10,000 Sign-On-Bonus ***Coordinates the technical support activities for the pre-, post- and analytic work processes in one or more sections of the laboratory, as assigned. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of technical procedures on pediatric, adult and geriatric patients in all disciplines of the Clinical Laboratory, including but not limited to: Transfusion Service, Hematology, Chemistry, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and limited Microbiology. Responsible for validity of test results, result reporting, specimen handling, and maintenance of necessary department records.

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
Bachelor's: Bachelor’s Degree in a physical, chemical or biological science from a college or university accredited by the Western Association of Schools or Colleges
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
CLSL-Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist Upon Hire
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:
3-5 years A minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care clinical laboratory working as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Must be a Generalist with experience in all modalities including Transfusion Medicine.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of Microsoft applications i.e. Word and Excel.
Knowledge of transfusion services.
Knowledge of theory and test application of clinical chemistry, hematology/microscopy and coagulation are required.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to identify problems, prioritize, problem solve, and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Knowledge of English language w/strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic keyboarding and computer skills.
Basic math skills demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to gather data to complete reports on a timely basis.
Pay Range: $52.61 - $69.88
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
