The Opportunity

Daikin Comfort Technologies Distribution, Inc. is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our remote Technical Service Manager position located in our Philadelphia, PA region. Daikin is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Technical Service Manager position. This position will support internal and external customers by delivering technical support and training on our Daikin HVAC systems and related products/brands. The person will work daily with the rep, distributor, and contractors in the market supporting/installing Daikin HVAC products. The person will report to the service manager within the specific region and work within the field support team to ensure customer satisfaction and meet department goals and objectives – This position is in the field, based from either a Daikin office or from home dependent on location and requires travel within Canada and US. Responsibilities:

May Include:

  • Technical support to the customer on unitary, ductless, light commercial and VRV products.
  • Support/training commissioning of Daikin products.
  • Working with the sales team to support a stronger customer base through support and training.
  • Gathering the Voice of the Customer, monitoring for early signs of quality issues through job site visits to address customer complaints.
  • Communicate and monitor field complaints to quality team.
  • Warranty Claim Validation. Targeted investigation of questionable claims.
  • Field Communication / RMA / Service Bulletin Support. Closed loop review of RMA analysis with Distributors, verification of understanding of Service Bulletins and feedback on success of Corrective Actions.
  • Installation training focuses on targeted dealers with high failure rates.
  • Support the production of training material where required.
Qualifications:

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent customer service skill
  • Experience with unitary products required.
  • Experience with Ductless products preferred.
  • Experience with VRV/VRF products preferred.
  • Experience with inverter technology preferred.
  • Prior experience in regional technical support preferred.
  • Excellent verbal communication, telephone, technical writing & computer skills required.
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and prioritizing.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills. Self-starter, resourceful, creative, and results oriented.
  • Proficiency with MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in customer service-related preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years technical service experience within the HVAC industry

Education:

  • Associate degree in HVAC with Minimum 5 years’ experience in HVAC
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
  • Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Must be capable of traveling on a regular basis.
