Kayfield Academy offer a sign on and referral bonuses for childcare providers with previous experience. We also will work with you on employment and childcare with 3C programs. Teachers use their creativity to develop lesson plans that are brought to life in fun and imaginative ways. Each of our faculty is a valued member of the school and has the opportunity to form close relationships with the children and families we serve.
General Qualifications:
All teachers must meet the qualifications of the State of Kentucky as required for daycare/preschool and those set forth in the National Standards for hiring, and must also meet the following qualifications:
The ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds, use arms hands, legs and feet, with or without corrective devices, to accomplish the job;
The ability to handle crises situations, especially where children are involved, and be able to respond immediately to any emergency situation; including evacuation of the building during emergencies;

Be a sensitive, compassionate and mature individual who relates well to both children and adults;

The ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting; the ability to interact closely with children at their level;

The ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times;

The ability to comply with the Kayfield Academy employment policies and should provide leadership and responsibility for the program’s continuity.

He/she must, after an offer of employment is made, produce a current physical examination by a physician with a tuberculin test or chest x-ray, have approved state clearance forms for child abuse and a certificate demonstrating an approved criminal record check.
