Position Details:
Title: PE/Health Teacher - Temporary position for the 2023-2024 School Year
Placement (location): White Mountain Middle School
Supervisor: Principal (or designee)
Contract Days: 191 days to begin August 2023
Salary Range: no less than $42,602 - $83,145 plus master's stipend of $2,130 (depending upon approved previous experience and graduate level credits)
Salary listed indicates current 2020-2023 Collective Bargaining Agreement - subject to change

Description:
The teacher must be knowledgeable about healthy life practices and use every day relevant situations to teach these practices; must be creative and resourceful in using school space and limited resources to provide physical activities and be flexible and engaging as an instructor for students from multiple grade levels.

This position requires an Oregon Teaching license with an endorsement in Physical Education and Health (preferred but not required) or the ability to obtain same license prior to the start date. Actual classes taught will be decided based on specific areas of expertise as well as areas of need. Opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities or athletics as a coach / advisor may also be considered. Applicants who are bilingual in Spanish are encouraged to apply. General Expectations:
The ideal applicant will have demonstrated content knowledge and pedagogic skill relative to Health and Physical Education. A desire to collaborate with other educators, as well as the ability to maintain and adapt existing curricula to meet the ever changing needs of our students is required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using a variety of pedagogical and assessment tools, have a passion for educating ALL STUDENTS, and a willingness to be involved in the school community beyond the classroom setting.
