This position is located at the Boise Office in the Chinden Campus located at 11321 West Chinden Blvd, Building 2.

- Provide customer service regarding collection issues in a fast-paced goal oriented collections department
- Enforce Idaho tax laws through the collection process for all tax types administered by the Tax Commission
- Interview individuals to obtain facts and research a variety of sources to obtain financial information
- Consult with the taxpayer or their representative and advise of liens, levies and warrants which may be executed
- Secure and review taxpayer financial statements and verify information provided
- Provide technical assistance, educating taxpayers on Idaho tax laws, ensuring taxpayers are in compliance
- Review taxpayer financial records to determine the taxpayer's ability to pay
- Perform research and interpret applicable rules, laws, and relevant business or individual financial information
- Advise individuals and business owners of tax liability and monetary fines for failure to pay
- Perform compliance activities and responsible for managing a caseload which includes self-assessed taxes and third-party seizures
- Fieldwork to assist in seizing personal and business assets
- May encounter uncooperative, volatile, and hostile individuals
Experience in:
Interpreting, applying, and explaining laws, regulations, policies and/or procedures to others- Dealing with a variety of customers in difficult situations
- Conducting sensitive fact-finding interviews.
