Summary:
The Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure Company is meeting all Tax Compliance Requirements on a federal, state and local level including assisting with quarterly estimated calculations and preparation of vouchers, and drafting responses to tax notices and audits, etc.
- Assist in preparation of supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement tax calculations, including but not limited to deferred taxes and tax journal entries
- Prepare tax return work papers to support tax returns including state apportionment information for parent company consolidated income tax filings
- Prepare monthly tax account reconciliations
- Prepare all documentation for the reporting of sales/use tax, personal property, and gross receipts tax
- Assist with Federal and State income tax audits and notices
- Assist with tax fixed asset management
- Support tax planning and special project work, as needed
- Identify and implement tax process efficiencies using technology tools
- Monitor tax law changes (as applicable), assesses impact on operations, make recommendations and implement approved changes

Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Strong desire to utilize technology to resolve issues and increase productivity
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors in Accounting required.
- 1-3 years of public accounting or corporate tax experience, preferably with federal, state, and local compliance experience is a plus.
