This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer your Secret clearance.
Join Serco in support of our Defense Service sector and Systems Integration and Installation Business Unit as a Logistics Specialist supporting the Tactical Afloat Networks Program Office (PMW 160). The successful candidate will have specific, recent and extensive experience providing logistics support in a DoD environment. This Logistics Specialist must possess a comprehensive working knowledge of US Navy and Department of Defense Logistics Systems including packaging, shipping, receiving, supply processes, stock control, warehousing, inventory management, procurement, and physical distribution of inventory.
In this role, you will:
- Be responsible for inventory management; prioritizing multiple tasks to meet time critical requirements; and coordinating with various functional areas to ensure timely receipt, testing, approval, packaging and documentation of inventory to meet fleet requirements.
- Interpreting and evaluating demand history.
- Analyzing end of life impacts on existing inventory.
- Forecasting future demand based on fielding plans.
- Researching and estimating cost trends for existing and future inventory, and providing recommendations to customers for inventory management updates.
- The ability to exercise independent judgment while working on multiple projects of diverse scope will be key to successful performance of the task requirements associated with this position.

This position involves direct contact with customers and fleet users, and demands performance that is both detail oriented and time critical.

Thorough knowledge and documented use of software systems/databases such as CAV, CMPro, and ERP.
- Have a clear understanding of DoD and US Navy inventory management is critical to success in this position, including familiarity with INCO, OBRP and PBL spares, as well as the management tools and periodic reports associated with those spares inventories.
- An active DoD Secret Clearance and US Citizenship.
- Bachelors Degree and two (2) years or more of experience; or three (3) years experience and a High School diploma may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Forklift license preferred.
- Familiarity with NAVSUP P-723 requirements and Internal Control Aids to support increased timely and recurring physical and perpetual inventory requirements.
- Electronic Retrograde Management System (eRMS)
- Stock In Transit (SIT)
- Product Data Reporting & Evaluation Program (PEDREP)
