Systems Engineers are responsible for assessing systems, determining problems, providing solutions to issues that arise, designing systems, upgrading systems, maintaining systems, and brainstorming possible improvements that can be made to a system in the future. Some of the primary responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and monitor project plans, budgets and expenditures throughout the entitlement, pre-development, and construction process.
  • Speaking to and collaborating with a variety of people, such as clients, vendors, management, and staff
  • Detailed, organized, self-sufficient, motivated, dedicated, and reliable, and who can exercise good judgment and extending a courteous approach to colleagues and outside consultants.
  • Creating control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization’s quality standards.
  • Engaging in quality control procedures to ensure that systems are efficient and operational.
  • Responsible for project specific planning assignments including coordination, organization, presentation, and delegation of planning related tasks.
  • Knowledgeable of design/planning process/procedures
  • Ensures QA/QC guidelines and company standards are met.
  • Coordinate with clients, agency staff, internal staff, and outside consultants
  • Participate in and lead project coordination meetings and developmental training.
  • Conceives, plans, and implements work in areas of considerable scope and complexity.
  • Solicit input and integrate schedules across multiple stakeholders including customer representatives and Subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years’ experience in related field is required.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Knowledge of file management and other administrative procedures.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills capable of maintaining strong relationships
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Team-management and leadership skills
  • Documentation management and ability to use project management tools
  • Attention to details even under pressure
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Candidates need creativity to imagine innovative, effective new solutions and designs
  • Logic and reasoning are important when troubleshooting difficult issues
  • Candidates must be able to develop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time
  • Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback is an important aspect of this position
  • Both oral and written communication skills are vital to relaying important information, training new staff members, and communicating about solutions to complex problems.
