Job description
The Rodman will assist the Party Chief, Instrument Man and survey crew in completing their field work assignments as well as serve as a public face of the company.
Responsibilities:
Assist Party Chief in collecting survey data
Setting backsights and foresights for traverse and running a prism rod
Operate GPS receiver
Physical tasks including carrying lath bags, cutting brush and setting stakes
Maintain professional and cooperative working relationships with all field crew, clients, contractors and general public associated with any project
Requirements:
Must complete OSHA 10 training or SafeLand equivalent
Follow all safe work practices including use of PPE and gas monitors where required
Review daily JSA with Party Chief
Operate and handle all company equipment with proper care and safety procedure
Assure that all equipment is cleaned, charged and stored properly for the next day
Assure that company vehicle is cleaned and stocked appropriately for each job
