Supply Chain Master Data Analyst Overview
The Supply Chain Master Data Analyst supports Supply Chain & Revenue Cycle objectives through a comprehensive understanding of Master Data Management, Logistics, Sourcing, and Revenue operational and business needs. This position requires a thorough understanding of Master Data concepts, industry standards, and supply chain operations.
Supply Chain Master Data Analyst Key Responsibilities and Expectations
The Analyst collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams such as: IT, EMR, Supply Chain, Operations, Clinical and external vendors to ensure consistent data management and accurate information flow to support core enterprise functions. To include but not limited to effective charge capture, Supply Chain automation, inventory management, vendor and recall management, and non-labor spend savings initiatives.
Functions as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact related to day-to-day execution of master data related tasks from addressing questions, resolving data issues, and providing analysis.
Develops and maintains procedures to meet all established master data requirements/specifications.
Performs master data additions, changes and deletions in accordance with procedures and business rules.
Ensures requests for master data maintenance are properly authorized and approved by working collaboratively across all applicable multi-disciplinary teams.
Educates users and leaders on master data processes and business rules.
Evaluates business and program application systems’ functionality to identify gaps and create solutions that drive enhanced data accuracy and availability.
Leads all activities to filter and cleanse data in a pro-active manner through ongoing review of reports and performance indicators.
Supports vendor and recall management by ensuring data accuracy and adherence to industry and/or regulatory standards.
Supports Non-Labor expense reduction initiatives through comprehensive Item Master and PAR data management, and directed reports to Materials, Procurement, and Value Analysis leaders.
Conducts quality control activities and recommends and/or implements additions/changes to Master Data Management policies and procedures.
Monitors key performance indicators to ensure data accuracy and data management policies are working as expected.
Develops and designs improvements to the processes, procedures, tools, rules and metrics to ensure data integrity of master data domains.
Communicates complex concepts in simple form to cross-functional teams and leaders in order to mediate and resolve complex problems/issues in a timely fashion.
Leads all master data initiatives in a professional, solutions oriented, inspirational, and can-do manner.

Position Qualifications
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
Associate’s Degree in business or a healthcare related and;
Five years health care system support (procurement/supply chain) or systems analyst experience.
Strong analytical and statistical skills with the ability to interpret and present data to end users.
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
Preferred:
Knowledge of Supply Chain MMIS/ERP, Revenue Cycle, Enterprise EMR, EDI, or other relative systems
Bachelor’s degree in business or a healthcare related field. Experience supporting and using information systems related to Health Care Supply Chain operations. This includes purchasing, logistics, inventory, EDI, finance, interfaces and data analytics. Experience with clinical information systems is also desired.
