Job Details:
Job Summary:
Support procurement teams in supplier contract negotiations, drafting in line with business legal and contracting polices. Design and implement templates, processes, and legal specific requirements for sourcing managers to utilize during supplier negotiations. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports sourcing manager in contracting activities (contract template selection and modification. contract drafting/set-up, negotiations, escalations, signatures, storing, and archiving in accordance with internal guidelines and processes) in close cooperation with Operations, Legal, and Compliance
  • Handle all contractual negotiations directly with supplier
  • Supports the supplier manager in claim management process
  • Coordinate with suppliers to guarantee terms of contracts are fulfilled in compliance with the contract terms and regulations.
  • Design and ensures availability of adequate contract templates to cover the relevant business models across categories
  • Assesses existing agreements
  • Monitor contract coverage targets
  • Hybrid in Sugarland, TX, requiring 2-3 days per week in-office.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Four-year college degree in Supply Chain, business, law, or related field, and/or the combined equivalent of education and experience. Must have minimum of 6 years’ experience with preparing and executing contractual agreements for materials and services. In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications. Possess knowledge for effective use of applicable computer word processing. Experience with SAP and contract lifecycle management software desired. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to establish work priorities and meet deadlines with minimal administrative support. Must be able to travel domestically. Ability to prioritize projects and work under tight deadlines.
