Project Superintendent

JOB SUMMARY:: :One of our clients is looking for a Superintendent. The Project Superintendent is responsible for the daily operations of a construction site from planning projects to overseeing their completion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS::
    • SAFETY: monitoring and enforcement
    • QUALITY: Inspection and enforcement of quality construction (all work done per contract documents, consistent with proper workmanship/construction standards, etc.)
    • SCHEDULE: Coordination, Tracking, Forecasts/Projections
    • CLIENT: Strong Client Focus / high level of Customer Engagement
    • Daily Construction Logs/Reports
    • Review of Submittals and Shop Drawings from subs/suppliers
    • Change Management – assist with executing potential changes in the work
    • Assist with Scope Writing / Buy-Out / Procurement of subs & suppliers
    • Leadership of Coordination Meetings; Issue Meeting Minutes when required
    • Construction Schedule Forecasting & Coordination
    • Assist PM in developing RFI’s when necessary (Requests For Information to architect, engineer, etc.)
    • Perform Take-offs/Estimating for various trades/items
    • Manage/Coordinate with various 3rd parties (architects, utility companies, municipalities, etc.)
  • - Project Closeout - as-built drawings, O&M manuals, Owner Training, etc.
    • Strong "Team Partnership" relationship with Project Manager working in the office

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Accomplishes all other duties and tasks as appropriately assigned or requested

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
    • At least three years in a supervisory role in the construction industry; with a proven track record in leadership

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
    • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills
    • Strong planning, scheduling, and forecasting skills
  • - Strong attention to detail - construction details and financial details
    • Strong work ethic: a team player that is results-oriented
    • Experience with managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests
    • Knowledge of software programs, such as Procore, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
    • Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to vendors, government officials, and clients
    • High level of reading comprehension for technical documents, such as safety regulations, assembly and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
    • Excellent verbal communications skills, especially when addressing customers, clients, or official visitors to the website
    • Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems
    • Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground
    • Capacity to physically lift up to 100 lbs.
