Starting Pay: $17.50-21/hour

Hours: Full-time: M-Th, 8-10 hour shifts, exact days/times vary, NO WEEKENDS

Length of Job: Summer 2023, start date will be ending of May/beginning of June

Job Description: Environmental technicians will use a backpack spray system to correctly apply herbicide to prescribed areas. Sprayers will mix and load proper amounts of herbicide to treat noxious weeds. Sprayers will need to be able to correctly identify weeds and submit proper data records. Sprayers will comfortably navigate multiple types of terrain and landscapes in order to fulfill job to proper completion. All training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and spraying various vegetation types
• Traveling by foot through natural areas
• Occasionally traveling by foot through rocky, steep, or mountainous landscapes
• Working as a team to achieve satisfactory results of client s vegetation requirements
• Other job duties as needed

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must possess a valid driver s license
• Must be able to work outside in various types of weather over various landscapes
• Must be physically able to carry a backpack weed sprayer
• Must be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, kneel, etc. as deemed necessary by each job-type
• Plant identification with field experience preferred
• Ability to work as a team and independently
