Summer Camp Leader
Job description
During 2023 Summer Camp, our staff will:
- Lead a group of up to 25 kids, ages 5-13, through a 6-hour shift
- Follow activity schedule consisting of indoor and outdoor activities such as arts & crafts, food projects, and fun water games
- Participate in activities alongside members; Encourage and facilitate members’ participation in all activities
- Ensure a fun, safe and healthy environment, both physically and mentally
- Take attendance, complete incident/accident reports and guidance notices for behavior
- Assist in the care and maintenance of equipment and supplies and cleanliness of classrooms/outdoor areas used
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED
- Reliable transportation!
- Ability to pass a Level II background check and pre-employment drug test
- A positive attitude and the ability to lead by example
SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday
- 6:15am-12:15pm or 12:00pm-6:00pm and the shifts rotate weekly. Schedule may vary on field trip days.
- Summer camp runs June 5th - August 4th with mandatory training on May 13th. You must be available through the entire summer.
- Additional training prior to Summer Camp would follow a split shift schedule (6:15-8:30am AND 2:00-6:00pm
