Job Description:
Assigns a variety of patient care resources to patient care units throughout the health system’s campuses. Requires and utilizes an in-depth knowledge of unit, departmental, and organizational policies to guide appropriate placement of resources. Collaborates with nursing and unit-based leadership as resources are moved fluidly throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with at least one word processing package and one spreadsheet package
- Familiarity with staffing procedures, usually gained through two or more years of staffing experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Telephone skills and ability to operate office equipment such as computers, copies, fax machines and printers.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement to set work priorities.
- Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with a wide range of staff in order to relay and obtain information.
