The Patient Care Clinician Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the assessment of patients including development, evaluation, and modification of the plan of care. This person interprets and performs complex patient care procedures specific to their area of expertise. Clinicians are members of the Care Team and Support Team and have accountability to function as a team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care. Patients service include infant through adult-geriatric.

As a Staff Pharmacist you will:

  • Demonstrates sound knowledge base and actions in the care and decision making for age.
  • Collaborates with physicians to manage patients on drug protocols including review of medication and associated lab work.
  • Manufactures various solutions, standard compounds, and special prescription items, including IV fluids, hyper alimentations and chemotherapy preparations.
  • Provides drug information for the medical staff, nursing staff, hospital employees, and the community.
  • Identifies patient/family learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet them.
  • Maintains current records and patient profiles according to department polices and procedures.
  • Performs documentation duties on unit and in patient record which are timely, accurate, concise and legible.

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • Graduate from accredited school of Pharmacy
  • Licensure: Current Maryland License or eligible for licensure in the State of Maryland


Preferred:

  • One - two years working experience in an institutional setting
