Job Description
The Sr. Director Solution Products for MedPharm will be a technical leader for a business unit or an operational area within Prime/MRx. You will have the opportunity to be a visible leader for both internal and external to MagellanRx. You will be involved in evaluating potential mergers and acquisitions, help drive MagellanRx to become a global leader using technology to deliver better outcomes to our members.
Responsibilities:

Sets department/portfolio vision and direction in coordination with IT Leadership and business partners and motivate and manage staff to achieve agreed upon results

Partner with clients and business to collaboratively design and develop system and process features and, on occasion, may be called upon to interact with client executive leadership.

Establish strong relationships with key business and technology stakeholders and influence senior leaders, all levels of business and IT staff in their application portfolio.
-
Formulate and execute process and organizational improvement, direction and programs to enhance overall effectiveness; proactively seek ways to improve human resource, technology delivery and other management processes; understand business process, issues/problems and apply appropriate IT standards and solutions.

Influences changes and system enhancements to business processes, policies, and infrastructure to deliver the most effective IT services.

Manages the selection, evaluation, contracting and integration of externally available hardware, software, and processes to deliver business solutions.

Builds and leads a transformational team that is required to design and execute on key business and technical strategies. Provides thought leadership and clear technical direction to the team to deliver results and business value. Mentors and coaches the team to foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

The leader will possess a deep knowledge and experience in the required domain.

Directs and manages, through analysis, the planning, design, development, testing, installation and maintenance of support systems for both internal/external clients.

Selects and builds strong teams through formal training, diverse assignments, coaching, mentoring, and other team development techniques, along with regular individual and group meetings.

Develops tactical and strategic plans to satisfy technical business needs and new business proposals.

Manages and develops project cost estimates, benefits, justification and assessment of potential project risks.

Manages projects, staff, customer expectations and business priorities to achieve customer and business unit satisfaction.

Manages, plans and tracks all budgets and expenses.

Oversees vendor relationships and projects.

Develops and maintains strong, cooperative relationships with other IT services groups. Shares and establishes best practices experiences and opportunities throughout the organization.

Applies Agile development practices in delivery of transformational programs as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; High School diploma or GED is required
-
10 years of work experience working with changes to business processes and systems and/or relevant business experience
-
7 years of management/people leadership experience
-
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Ability to strategically plan and prioritize across potentially conflicting goals: consumer satisfaction, employer satisfaction, cost control, appropriate incentives, complex federal and state regulations, and operational constraints

Ability to communicate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in business, IT or other advanced degree

Experience with working in an agile environment, User Experience (UX) Design, writing Product Discovery/Definitions for software, minimum viable product, Scrum, and/or Lean startup

Experience with qualitative and quantitative analytic approaches

Experience creating and managing complex development projects in a highly dynamic environment

Experience leading large, complex product teams and cross-portfolio initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building and influencing

Experience with change management, and leading diverse teams to solve problems and pursue opportunities

Experience delivering on premise and cloud/mobility products and working with commercial software design concepts, practices, and procedures

SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager (POPM) Certification
-
Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) or related industry
-
Experience with any of the following technologies and architectures: service- oriented architecture, web services, databases, modeling and/or distributed computing

Potential pay for this position ranges from $141,200.00 - $225,600.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
