Sr. Cloud Engineer
Our client builds high-performance decision analysis products. Enterprises use their real-time streaming analytics products to achieve their sales and marketing goals. Their team is dynamic and loves challenges building production software products that delight customers. They are 100% remote and based in Canada.

Over the last year, they have doubled our team with some excellent team players who love solving business problems in code and are looking to grow our Application team with an exceptional Senior AWS Cloud Engineer.
Ideal Candidate:
As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, you understand the need to maintain the stability and performance of 24/7 cloud products. You know how to do this with automation, so you are not watching the site around the clock. You have an impeccable sense of urgency. Your attention to detail is second to none. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills help you focus on the site's reliability versus endless meetings.

Your background is in computer science, and you are a polyglot developer who relishes staying current and pragmatic when it comes to UX languages, tools, frameworks, and operating systems. Fundamental to managing cloud environments today is managing configuration and automation via a first-class programming language.

You love working with customers and are responsive to their needs. You have proven experience managing customer issues effectively. You know how to reproduce problems. You know how to say no. You know how to direct the development teams to solve the right issue quickly without breaking the roadmap.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years solid AWS Cloud
  • Must have strong networking background so know AWS VPC, security cold
  • Must be able to manage CI/CD pipelines; they use Gitlab
  • AWS Networking, Linux Networking
  • Devops with CDK and Cloud Formation
  • Kubernetes and Kubernetes with AWS EKS
  • AWS Serverless infrastructure
  • Typescript and Python with CDK
  • AWS Security Tools
  • Git, Linux, VSCode, Python
  • They use Gitlab
  • Must be located in the US or Canada (GC holder or Citizen)
The Perfect Candidate (5+ years experience):
  • Javascript / Typescript
  • Automated testing tools
  • CI/CD pipelines with git
  • Cloud Linux Networking
  • Advanced DevOps
  • SQL and NoSQL databases
  • APIs
  • Cloud security
  • Kubernetes
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills
  • AWS Certifications are a HUGE plus
Responsibilities:
  • Design, Build, Configure, Maintain Liquid Analytics cloud systems.
  • Work directly with the customers to provide status on updates, upgrades and new releases
  • Write and run automated test scripts
  • Troubleshoot data and integration issues and write scripts in dbt, Python and SQL
  • Troubleshoot networking, platform, and application issues
  • Setup and manage Kubernetes at scale.
  • Work with a solid team of people who are responsible for maintaining the product
