Summary : Cognizant is looking for an Application Developer(AS/400) in developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Someone that values the “team” and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality
Qualification: BS or equivalent.
Responsibility:
- Support and Maintenance of various AS/400 systems for Cognizant partner, AS/400 OM&CS (Order Management & Customer Service) project
- Demonstrate expert knowledge in RPG
- Technical as well as functional design and even requirement analysis for any modification enhancement of existing application. Implemented procedures for product rollout quality control and code reviews.
- Develop and implement changes needed to existing application for any bug fix or enhancement requests. Assisted in designing and implementation of IT solutions for AS400 application.
- Using other technologies like Sign On, ILE, CL.
- Debugged programs along with coding and testing services according to instructions of senior management.
- Supported technical members for validation and testing of products to ensure execution quality assurance policies.
- Formulated strategies for application development, operations and maintenance for current systems and various technical platforms.
- Resolved troubleshooting problems and application system issues with assistance of support desk team.
- Exposure on DB2 tool.
