Job description

Salary: Competitive Rates, Up to 10K sign on bonus

Shift Type: Day, some evenings & weekends (varies by location & resident's needs)

Locations: Milton, Watsontown, Williamsport North & Williamsport South


The primary function of the Speech Therapist is to plan, organize, develop, and direct Speech Therapy Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times. As a floater, the Occupational Therapist will travel between Bedrock Care's local facilities, including: Watsontown, Milton, Williamsport North, & Williamsport South Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers.

JOB DUTIES
  • Provide comprehensive speech therapy evaluations as per MD orders.
  • Document findings on the standardized evaluation format neatly, accurately and adhering to all guidelines.
  • Provide a comprehensive treatment plan including long and short term goals, frequency, duration and treatment modalities, therapeutic interventions, clinical and technical guidelines.
  • Ensure MD orders are obtained for evaluations, treatments, recertifications and discharges.
  • Provide comprehensive treatment to patients utilizing modalities and modifying patient treatment as indicated and adhering to precautions.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited university with an MA, or M.S. in communication disorders that is recognized by ASHA and state board.
  • Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).
