Camacho Recycling, LLC is a family owned and operated company that has been in business for 15 years. The Metal Sorter - Shop Laborer position within our business focuses primarily on supporting recycling operations by overseeing the process of separating various scrap material, and also be involved in the process of extracting and loading the material to be transported. While our business has two locations, this role will be based out of our Beeville recycling yard.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Must comply with safety procedures and regulations at all times
• Sort, transport, pack, remove, and dispose of materials as regulated by law
• Assist in performing inventory on material
• Assist in unloading and loading customers
• Constantly perform a wide range of physical activities which include pulling, reaching, bending over, climbing, and kneeling
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Other duties as assigned in general support of the organization

Experience and Skill Requirements

Required

• Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and business leaders
• Ability to work as a team player in a fast paced environment
• Great organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Must be a quick learner; willing and able to operate heavy equipment (forklift)

Preferred

• Forklift experience and certification desired but not required as on-site training will be provided
• 1 year experience in either operations and or manufacturing environment
• Prior knowledge of metal identification is a plus
