LATN is currently seeking contract SOMALI interpreters with experience in school and medical settings.

THIS IS NOT A FULL-TIME POSITION-This is a freelance position with assignments available within flexible business hours, Monday through Friday.

Duties:

• Provide interpreting services as an independent contractor in medical and social services structures.
• Comply with the National Council on Interpreting in Health Care (NCIHC) Code of Ethics and HIPAA regulations
• Perform duties in a professional manner.
• Turn in client worksheets and invoice within 24 hours of appointment

Qualifications:

• Must demonstrate fluency in English and a 2nd language
• Must have flexibility to accept assignments during weekdays and business hours.
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Awareness of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice
• Able to comply with credentialing requirements for independent contractors working in healthcare facilities
• Able to pass language proficiency and Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice test
• Must be punctual, responsible, and have a reliable means of transportation.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday
