Job description
Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:
- Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities.
- Plan level health reviews.
- Problem solving escalated issues.

- Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required and 4+ years retirement industry experience
- Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc
- Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution)
- Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required, as well as superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
- Must be assertive and entrepreneurial
- Travel required (50 - 60%), including (10 - 20%) overnight stays
Licensing will be required based on state/federal laws and/or company policy in accordance with current licensing policy. The below licenses are required within 5 months of employment:
- Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63).
- Resident Life and Health appointment must be attained.
Location
Job Level
We’ll consider talent at the Relationship Manager III level with correlating experience and skills. The pay range listed in this post, encompasses both positions.
To be considered at the Relationship Manager II level, would require:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 4-6 years of experience
To be considered at the Relationship Manager III level, would require:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 6+ years of experience
Work Environments
When not traveling or out at meetings, you will be able to work from home.
