Position Description - Social Media Marketing Specialist

Reporting to: Digital Marketing Business Unit
General Work Days and Time: Monday-Friday - 8:00 – 6:00 PM
Work Location: San Antonio, Texas
Flex Time: Friday, work from home

Classification: Full Time – Exempt Position
Minium: of 40-hour work weeks

General Responsible for creating and maintaining a client and company's presence on social media channels

Analysts oversee increasing the overall exposure of a company through search engine optimization (SEO) and by finding ways to use these keywords in marketing strategies employed by their company.   • Social media analysts use their creativity and marketing skills to help generate brand awareness, and sales and promote customer service through social media networks. An analyst will
  • Study trends in social media, research popular social media platforms, study emerging social media tools and observe how often those platforms and tools are used.
  • For new businesses, you will study the audience that the business is attempting to reach and offers them plans on how social media will work best for them and their business model.
  • Generate reports for clients and team members to show them the strategies available to them.
  • Keep our company and clients about any potential problems or concerns that may arise.

  • Participate in Company and Client Meetings
  • Generate SSM Data Analytics Reports for Clients and Measure KPIs
  • Keep pace with Social Media and Internet marketing industry trends and developments
  • Maximize Social Media and CRM tools
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: 3 - 5 years experience in analytics within the digital or social media industry.
Experience: BA in Digital Marketing, Business, or General Marketing Certifications

Ability to synthesize data into an actionable report that is easy to understand and share

  • Enthusiasm for data
  • Strong level of attention to detail, as well as strong organizational, verbal/written communication
  • Online savvy and socially active online with a solid understanding of social media and the dynamics of community interaction
  • Self-starter and self-motivator
  • Great problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Physical Requirements:

This position primarily consists of working indoors in an office environment. During the employee’s duties, he/she may travel to customer sites to perform essential job duties. Essential functions: The employee may be required to: sit, walk, or stand for extended periods, talk and hear with the ability to communicate, detect, converse with, discern, convey, express oneself, exchange information, use the hands and fingers to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, or position, and see to detect, determine, perceive, identify, recognize, judge, observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
