Description:

Provide expert technical services in architecting, designing, implementing, and operational management of Enterprise messaging supporting services and related synchronization services for unified Messaging Service environment comprised of Microsoft Exchange and MS Exchange Online services.

Provide expert technical services necessary to manage a secure role-based enterprise administration solution, provide operational security management services, support, develop and provide incident and problem management.

Provide on-site support as required by the federal customer. This support shall consist of direct and indirect communication and the means to track all support requests.

Maintain security configurations for Exchange servers and images; review and recommend releases of patches; schedule and perform monthly patches in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Research and implement complex, and custom configurations to accommodate specific business needs involving automated workflow or processing.

Monitor Performance of email and related service level agreements, including

Provide support for Exchange, SMTP, Email relay services, and email service operations, planning and management.

Provide continued support to federal customer by presenting technical changes and requests to meetings and board members.

Develop, maintain, and track new optimization and standardization requirements.

Develop and maintain an optimization and standardization strategy and review documentation with federal government customer to key stakeholders to achieve consensus.

Assist in the development and execution of new IT initiatives directly and indirectly associated with the customer’s implementation of Unified Messaging.

Provide program support on behalf of the OCIO to all programs requiring the adoption, integration, or support of Unified Messaging related components.

Monitor server and system role event logs for SMTP service related events via the customer provided tool sets. Monitor operating system, software service packs, and patches per departmental policy and guidance. Test service packs and patches for release and distribution to Exchange SMTP servers using software update services.

Configure and Maintain Secure Transport compliance rules, domain and domain alias in Microsoft Office 365 Admin Console, and email routing and delivery configurations.

Maintain and Operate the Exchange Management Console, Organization Configuration roles, Server configurations, Recipient Configuration components, SMTP relay services and Shell and PowerShell for testing, scripting, and maintaining, Test failover SMTP services and sites and Testing Windows email roles and SMTP environment .

Maintain and Operate Hub Transport Services including but not limited to Send and Receive Connectors, Edge subscriptions, transport rules.

Provide base level Active Directory support and email account moves and 3rd party SMTP relay services

Participate in periodic meetings and teleconferences as needed to support Unified Messaging.

Serve as primary configuration management control for SMTP services. Prepare change control documentation and ensure compliance with Change Control Guidance. Also serve as a liaison to the Enterprise Services Team when EAD support is required.

Perform day-to-day research ensuring technology and best practice guidance are applied and used appropriately within the Email and SMTP service environments.

Provide training on Exchange service and SMTP administration to necessary personnel, general technical and operational expert consultation on Exchange Management and SMTP services.

Develop project plans to transition, administration and operations necessary to support this requirement,

Maintain appropriate email and SMTP operations documentation.

Requirements:

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university or the equivalent experience (six years’ experience and high school diploma) in network engineering.

Experience Requirements

Seven years of progressive experience in related field including two years of specialized experience related to the task.

Microsoft O365 Exchange Email End User Support including O365 Power apps such as PowerAutomate and PowerBI

Microsoft Exchange Server 2019

O365 Admin console

Microsoft (MS) Outlook Client and Outlook Web access (OWA) configuration support

Microsoft SharePoint Online, Teams,One Drive, Security and Compliance center, Azure Active Directory Connect, SMTP Mail Routing, email relaying, and mail flow, Authenticator Multi Factor Authentication, Powershell

Certification Requirements

Must have relevant Microsoft Certification(s)
