Job Summary

Performs duties related to setting up the line and ability to operator the line by performing the following duties.

Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Reads work order for job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.

• Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.

• Observes machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction.

• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.

• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in production process (metals industry preferred)

• Slitter Operator experience

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in production process (metals industry preferred)

Other Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of reading measuring devises

• Basic math skills

• Basic computer knowledge

• Detailed oriented with ability to inspect material for quality
