We are currently looking for Nurses (LPNs) to join our amazing Skilled Nursing team at East Ridge. You will be able to work within a beautiful 76-acre, resort style living community. Overview: The Staff Nurse is responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of all nursing care prescribed and provided to Skilled Nursing residents.

Job Duties:

• Provides services in accordance with nurse practice act and state/federal nursing center regulations.
• Performs admission and periodic assessments on residents for functional and mental abilities.
• Assists residents in scheduling medical, dental and laboratory appointments.
• Assists physician with resident examination as needed.
• Reviews and transcribes physician's orders.
• Administers and documents medications in accordance to the five rights: right medication, right route, right resident, right time, and right dose. Provides medical treatments as ordered by physician.
• Monitors resident restorative nursing programs.
• Monitors meal-time and nourishments, assists with trays, and helps feed residents.
• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Staff nurse experience preferred.

A weekend getaway to the Keys is a sunny drive south on U.S. 1; Miami International Airport is about 30 minutes north.
