Shipping Manager / Shop Assistant Position

Transporting and scheduling plant deliveries in the Chicagoland area for a 650 acre nursery
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
SHIPPING MANAGER
- Truck Regulations and trailer rental
- Coordinate Deliveries for customers
- Truck Maintenance (in house or outsourced)
- Schedule other drivers for deliveries as needed
- Coordinates with other nurseries for pickup
- Deliver loads to our Willowbrook location and Customers
- Prepare Flat Loads and ship lists
SHOP ASSISTANT
- Assist with repair of tractors, skid steers, vehicles, other equipment
- Maintenance of equipment and buildings
Requirements
- Must have a valid CDL-A to drive semi-tractor in state
- Spanish is a plus but not required
- Maintain accurate paperwork
Competitive pay and benefits are available.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
