Summary Description:

The Parts Shipping/Receiving Clerk receives incoming orders, materials, products, and supplies and enters data in our business system. The position is also responsible for preparing items for shipment, restocking shelves, preparing returns to local vendors and factory suppliers, and keeping a neat and orderly parts storage area.

Parts S&R Responsibilities:

Prepares orders for scanning into our DSM. Matches B/O and cross shipped parts, as well as part number supersessions prior to scanning parts into inventory.

Assist in putting away Special Ordered Parts for retail customers as well as SOR parts for our Service department.

Maintain a neat and organized SOR shelving system.

Restocking of inventory in the correct BIN location AND helping to maintain correct inventory counts.

Assist the Parts Manager in tracking cores and credits from local vendors and Factory suppliers.

Determines shipping method for orders and returns, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates as required by our vendors.

Filing damage, shortage and mis-pick claims daily as required.

Assist with inventory counts and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Physical Demands:

Must be able to frequently perform lifting and carrying of vehicle components, parts, and hand tools weighing up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to complete tasks that may require bending, twisting, heavy lifting, and crouching.

Knowledge of DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Must maintain a Haz-Mat shipping certification.

Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail, and in-house business system.

Must be detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
