NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.
The Finance Information Technology (FIT) division, provides support for all facets of DOF's computer systems, including hardware, software, applications, and data security. The FIT division delivers world-class information and technology solutions that DOF needs, in order to achieve results in collecting revenue for the City of New York.
FIT is currently seeking an exceptional individual who has solid experience with SharePoint Online and Power Suite (Power Apps and Power Automate) to join our Customer Engagement and Collaboration team. The SharePoint/Power Platform Developer will be responsible for administration, development, and support of various applications across the agency.
This role requires the individual to have scripting skills with JavaScript, JSON, PowerShell, CSS, and HTML to support custom web parts. Understanding how to convert 2013 InfoPath forms to Power Automate is a key skill as well.
The successful candidate should be able to support other Microsoft 365 products (SharePoint 2016, OneDrive, Teams, Forms, Bookings), and electronic signature service (currently DocuSign).

Requirements:
- 5 - 7+ years' experience with SharePoint Implementation and ongoing maintenance/administration, including SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Power Platform and PowerShell
- 3 years' experience with web development including HTML/CSS/JavaScript
- Experience building technical solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, etc.) or previous software development experience.
- Design and develop innovative solutions using out-of-the-box features of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint Online, Teams and Forms.
- Ability to identify functional business requirements and satisfy business needs through design, development, testing and delivery of effective solutions.
- Ability to make solutions look good - attention to UX/UI design and solutions that are visually pleasing to users.
- Ability to carry out assigned projects to their completion, establishing, and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, prospective customers, and vendors.
- Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written words to audiences with a wide variety of backgrounds and differing levels of technical expertise.
- Provide solution training/job aids and support for end users.
Minimum Qual Requirements
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
2. An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
3. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or
4. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above.
