What You’ll Get to Do!
The Shared Services, Transportation Specialist will need analytical thinking skills to perform analysis and develop accurate conclusions, can manage competing priorities effectively and work effectively with other team members. The Transportation Specialist supports the 24 hour, 7 days a week operation verifying data, entering, tracking, and updating information related to detention and transfer of unaccompanied children and family units in our care. As a Shared Services, Transportation Specialist you will make it your mission to have a sense of urgency, be deadline driven, be organized and able to prioritize tasks you are executing and a self-starter that’s capable of juggling multiple projects at once and execute them to completion.

Key functions you will perform!
  • Uses tracking software to capture relevant information, to reflect data entries of all daily updates and transportation runs, in accordance with traditional procedures.
  • Collects and evaluates information from documentation for every trip, verify time of pick up, trip destination, drop off time and verifies it against our systems.
  • Verify and confirm destination facilities are correct and are recorded in the client’s system
  • Reviews correspondence from personnel and regularly checks for updates in the portal, as part of docket management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Employees may be assigned to overnight, weekends, or holiday shifts to support 24/7 operations.

What you will need to have:
  • Associates degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college (a high school diploma with one or more years of extra relevant experience may be substituted for an associate degree)
  • Have at least two years of documented experience in a field related to social work or similar occupational area; as well as certification, licensure, and credentials applicable to the professional accreditation of the position, if applicable (a minimum of three years of experience in a related field is required when a high school diploma with one or more years of relevant experience is substituted for an associate degree)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Excel, Outlook.

Clearance:
  • Ability to pass a Government Security Background Investigation

Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a clearance
  • Favorable credit check
