Position Essentials:

• Performs various activities, including but not limited to opening and closing the concessions stand and following processes, maintaining cash drawers and balances, and following food safety guidelines.
• Takes concession orders; prepares, stores, and serves food under established state health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and a hazard-free environment; perform various custodial duties such as sweeping, picking up trash, and sanitizing.
• General knowledge of beach operations and emergency action procedures. Ability to remain calm in emergency situations and assist in emergency response.
• Communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Requires attentiveness, outstanding customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to be proactive and exceed patron expectations.
• Communicates with and maintains effective relationships with the patrons and other staff.
• Understand, follow and enforce all beach facility rules. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive public image by immediately addressing questions and concerns from staff, patrons, participants, and parents. Contact and ask for assistance from the coordinator or manager when necessary.

• Attend required staff meetings and training (every other Thursday at 8:00am starting June 8th).
• Must be available to attend job-specific training in early June prior to the summer season.
  • Mandatory pre-season training June 6th
• A minimum of 15 hours of weekly availability (equivalent to 2-3 shifts a week). Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Team members are preferred to be available and commit to employment for the entire summer season (mid-June through late August).
• Must be 16 years of age prior to the start of the season.

Physical Demands/Work Environment: Moderately physically demanding work, typically involving a combination of occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Occasionally lifts and/or move items weighing up to 30 lbs. When working outdoors, staff are exposed to all types of weather conditions.
