Description:

The Service Advisor is responsible for providing support to the Service Manager, Service Team, and Customers. Responsibilities include working with the customer (either internal or external) to get the information required to perform the work on the boat, following through to make sure the work is completed correctly the first time in a timely manner.

  • Assisting service customers and setting the proper customer expectations.
  • Documenting issues/concerns.
  • Provide prompt, detailed and timely flow of all paperwork.
  • Initial work order creation with clear explanations of customer’s concerns.
  • Proper checking of incoming units drop off.
  • Developing a customer base.
  • Re-delivery of unit to customer with full explanation of work done pick up.
  • Timely follow up with customers.
  • Coordination of work with the shop.
  • Coordination with the parts department to ensure that we have necessary parts on hand.
  • Dealing with insurance companies on claims.
  • Communicate with the customer during repairs and coordinate customer pick-up.
  • Resolving customer complaints for a win/win outcome.
  • Maintain regular attendance and timeliness.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Excellent customer service and professional phone skills.
  • Sales ability is a plus.
  • Mechanical knowledge (basics).
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
  • Previous experience with insurance companies preferred.
  • Previous boating experience is preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google suite, or related software.

Position Type:

This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but are flexible based on need. Evening, night, and weekend work may be required as duties demand.
