The Service Training Content Lead will run the entire technical training product life cycle for specifically assigned product lines in support of Agriculture equipment for dealer service technicians and internal company personnel.
The Technical Lead will work with a strong team to develop and maintain training content on a designated product line, including all support materials and course materials, for new product and current product updates, including model year changes and running changes. We are looking for a strong communicator to connect with various internal and external partners and identify training needs to achieve technical training objectives.
Responsibilities:
Be the primary link/contact between all the Parts & Service technical groups and product line management team (e.g. know the strategic product range plan, approved budget items, current/future product offering, status of items/projects, manage inclusion of technical teams/members at the proper times, etc).- Manage the Product Life Cycle spreadsheet (BETA) (includes revision cycle and update cycle)
- Handle ordering of the new model year machines and coordinate to order new product machines within the GPD program lifecycle.
- Identify and acquire the proper training aids for each of the facilities where training will be offered.
- Develop training content (online, instructor led, shop activity books, etc);
- Lead annual and new product specific internal trainings (trainers/support/field) and lead regular dealer network training; schedule it, present it; pull in resources, etc
- Participate in EWTs and end of season reviews for assigned product line(s)
- Be the go-to for TS/TI for reviews/help
- Review new/MY TI document changes for functional data, schematic, etc;
- Lead the development of Dynamic Descriptions to be published within service manuals and used for technical training; coordinate with the TI project manager.
- Lead the creation of colored, dynamic, electrical/hydraulic drawings or animations to support descriptions to be used within SM for training purposes; supported by TI and training developers.
- Assist PTS/TS/Flying Doctors on complicated cases; including field support as approved.
- Participate in technical training classes, instructed by TT, to continue development of product knowledge and delivery quality
- Obtain and distribute to TT/TS/PTS an accurate Model Year 3D model of assigned product lines, where available, for use in daily functions

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with eight (8 years) of experience; OR- Associate degree with ten (10) years of relevant experience; OR
- High School Diploma with twelve (12) years of experience in engineering, technology, automotive, agricultural/construction and/or heavy equipment
- At least one (1) year of customer support experience
- At least two (2) years' of experience with electric vehicles
- Must be able to travel 30% annually
The preferred candidate will have:
- Multi-department experience (i.e. technical publications, product support, technical support, product management, etc.)
- Experience creating Technical Information for mobile equipment
- Excellent written and presentation skills as well as comprehensive computer skills
- Technical experience relating to diagnostics of mechanical, electrical (12 or 24 volt DC) and High Voltage systems, fluid power systems (hydraulic/pneumatic)
- Dedication to articulate how technical systems work to others with varying levels of experienced dealer technician
- Knowledge or experience with Adult Learning Methodology and Distance Learning
- Technical training experience in the automotive, agricultural, or construction industry, preferably on assigned product.
- Training development experience using various development tools (i.e. Storyline, Adobe, Power Point, etc.)
